About Our Ministry!
|
Upon graduation from Southwestern Assemblies of God College (now University) in Waxahachie, Texas, Eugene together with his wife Carolyn, ministered for 4 1/2 years with Dallas Teen Challenge, part of the Assemblies of God recovery program. While in Dallas, the Hunts felt God calling them into foreign missions service, and they have answered that call in a variety of capacities since 1971. They served 20 years in the Dominican Republic and, after a year of itineration and a year in the Resource & Development offices for Latin America Royal Rangers and Missionettes in Springfield, Missouri, they moved to Costa Rica where they based for 16 years. Due to the high cost of living and the fact that they could do the same ministry from a USA base, the Hunts recently moved to Athens, Texas, where they continue full-time missionary work throughout Spanish-speaking Latin America and the Caribbean. Eugene and Carolyn operate international ministry offices for all Spanish-speaking Latin America and the Caribbean. Eugene is a full time professor and administrative board member for the Latin America Theological Seminary (Facultad de Teología) with more than 700 students. Carolyn ministers to more than 150,000 Missionettes and is coordinating the updating of all Spanish materials as well as the development of "Rainbows" (Arco Iris) for Latin America and the Caribbean. She also helps Eugene teach Facultad family counseling classes and do administration for modules.
