2. What do you eat in Costa Rica?
Answer: As missionaries, we eat a combination of food common to the country and imported foods. Foods common to Costa Rica are lots of tropical fruits, most kinds of vegetables, rice, black beans, tortillas, and others. "Gallo Pinto" is a mixture of rice with black beans and special seasonings. A "casado" is a typical plate with meat (chicken, beef, pork, or fish) with white rice, black beans, candied ripe plantains (bananas), salad and sometimes a fried egg on top.
